He married Eula Purdom McIntire Brandenberg, Meade Co., Kentucky, 27 Mar 1907. (Eula Purdom McIntire is #315.) Eula was born Brandenberg, Meade Co., Kentucky 06 Oct 1884. Eula was the daughter of Jacob Rogers McIntire and Encebia Gertrude Ensor. Eula died 02 Jun 1967 Armour, Douglas Co., South Dakota, at 82 years of age. Her body was interred 05 Jun 1967 in Armour, Douglas Co., South Dakota, Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

He resided Vine Grove, Hardin Co., Kentucky 1900. Abt 1920 occupation was Mail Carrier, Rural route. He resided in Armour, Douglas Co., South Dakota from 1908 to 1953. In 1907, John's occupation was Carpenter. In 1910 he lived in a rented House. Fell from tree, on his property while trimming it, 8/7/1953.
