He married Felicia Glascocke 1867. (Felicia Glascocke is #4831.) Felicia became the mother of James William Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1869. Felicia became the mother of Robert Clyde Lewis 1870. Felicia became the mother of Minnie Wilson Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1872.

At 30 years of age John became the father of James William Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1869. At 31 years of age John became the father of Robert Clyde Lewis 1870. At 33 years of age John became the father of Minnie Wilson Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1872. from Barbara Anne Lewis

Served as a scout in the C.S. Army, page 21-22, "Notes on Culpeper", Part II: says a John E. Lewis of the Company B, 13th VA Infantry was discharged Oct 1861; appointed to post at Culpeper Court House known as Culpeper Guards; served til close of war; wounded July 1861 at Baily's Cross Roads.

502 iii. Minnie Wilson Lewis (#4835) was born Culpeper Co., Virginia 1872. She married Russell Hill Yowell. (Russell Hill Yowell is #4836.)
