Maude Teegardin was born on the 4th of July in 1882. She grew up on her parents farm in Ostego Township, Steuben County, Indiana. She was a big woman, big bone structure and close to 6 ft tall. She married at the age of 18, in 1900 to Lee Henry Musser, he was 21 yrs old. They lived near Metz, and Lee followed the trade of stone masonry work. He worked with his father and brother, Ray. In 1918, Lee and Maude purchased a 120 acre farm in York Township and began farming and stock raising. Later, they sold the farm and moved to Angola on Darling Street near Tri-State University. I remember this home in Angola, Maude had beautiful flowers everywhere, and the house was full of antique treasures. I am blessed to have a wonderful old sewing rocker from their home.
