He married Martha Jones Abt 1836. (Martha Jones is #833.) Martha was born 1817. Martha died 1895 at 78 years of age. Her body was interred Belington, Randolph Co., West Virginia, Talbot Cemetery. At 25 years of age Martha became the mother of Lucy Ann Markley 1842. At 27 years of age Martha became the mother of Cynthia J. Markley 1844. At 29 years of age Martha became the mother of Sarah C. Markley 1846. At 31 years of age Martha became the mother of Lucinda Markley 1848. At 32 years of age Martha became the mother of Margaret V. Markley 1849.
