Thomas died 10 Aug 1839 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, at 73 years of age. His body was interred Aft 10 Aug 1839 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, Lewis Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Nancy Anna Rice 1785. (Nancy Anna Rice is #4596.) Nancy was born Culpeper Co., Virginia 03 Jan 1766. Nancy⁽⁵⁹⁾ was the daughter of Fisher Rice Capt. and Agnes ?. Nancy died 14 Jan 1822 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, at 56 years of age. Her body was interred Jan 1822 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, Lewis Cemetery. At 21 years of age Nancy became the mother of Simeon Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 19 Jun 1787. At 23 years of age Nancy became the mother of Henry Lewis in Kentucky, 03 Dec 1789. At 25 years of age Nancy became the mother of Fielding Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1791. At 27 years of age Nancy became the mother of James Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 09 Feb 1793. At 27 years of age Nancy became the mother of John Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1793. At 33 years of age Nancy became the mother of Nancy B. Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 19 Jan 1799. He married Isabella McDougal Hardin Co., Kentucky, 29 Oct 1826. (Isabella McDougal is #4978.) Isabella was the daughter of Alexander McDougal. Isabella died Bef 13 Aug 1843. Isabella was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census.

At 27 years of age Thomas became the father of John Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 1793. At 33 years of age Thomas became the father of Nancy B. Lewis Culpeper Co., Virginia, 19 Jan 1799.
