33. Henry6 Lewis (Henry5, John4, Richard3, Henry2, Richard1) (#3318) was born in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia 1689-1699. Henry died 02 Nov 1785 in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, at 96 years of age.(2) Pioneer Lewis Families says before November 1785.

He married Martha Buford Kendall in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, Est 1724. (Martha Buford Kendall is #4464.) Martha was born in Virginia ca 1710. At 14 years of age Martha became the mother of Henry Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1724.(4) At 21 years of age Martha became the mother of Elizabeth Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1731.(5) At 25 years of age Martha became the mother of Mary Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1735.(6) At 27 years of age Martha became the mother of Martha Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1737.(7) At 31 years of age Martha became the mother of Lewis Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1741. She bought property 1744. At 34 years of age Martha became the mother of Ann Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 29 Mar 1745. She bought property 1746. Sold land bought in 1743

At 35 years of age Henry became the father of Henry Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1724.(8) At 42 years of age Henry became the father of Elizabeth Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1731.(9) He bought property 07 Jul 1731. Bought land from John Key, the same land which son Henry Lewis and his wife Ann, of Culpeper, sold in 1787, the latter deed stating that Henry Lewis the grantor of 1787 had inherited the land as heir-at-law of his father Henry Lewis the elder, deceased.

At 46 years of age Henry became the father of Mary Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1735.(10) At 48 years of age Henry became the father of Martha Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1737.(11) He bought property 1739. Witness to a deed.

At 52 years of age Henry became the father of Lewis Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1741. He bought property in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 12 Feb 1742. Signed deed with wife Martha Lewis, with Edmond Waller as witness.

He bought property 1743. Bought Land

He bought property 1744. Bought Land and sold it the same day.

At 55 years of age Henry became the father of Ann Lewis in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 29 Mar 1745. He sold property 1746. Sold land bought in 1743.

He left property to be administered by an unknown person 1752. Henry Lewis was bondsman, along with John Holloday, August 4, 1752 (Will Book B) for Mary Wiglesworth (gaurdian to Ester, Sarah and John Wiglesworth); in seperate document, Henry Lewis was bondsman for Mary Wiglesworth as gaurdian for William Wiglesworth. He left property to be administered by an unknown person 1764. He bought property 1764. Executed a Deed of Gift of land to his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Alexander Johnson.

Henry participated in the Comment 1 event 23 Apr 1782 in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia. Rendered Revolutionary War Aid as a civilian, being granted certificates for beef, provisions, and pasturage.

Henry registered to pay taxes in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 1782. He made a will in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, 15 Nov 1786. Estate listed heirs: Henry Lewis, Jr., Joseph Holloday, Alexander Johnson, Thomas Cason, Joseph Pulliam, and Martha Wisdom. Estate settlement returned to Court on this date.
